Don't you just love beautiful miniature donkeys? So do we! Miniature donkeys are among the most gentle of God's creatures. They are extremely appealing as pets and companions. Many people enjoy showing miniature donkeys or just hitching them up to a cart at home and driving around. Although many of our donkeys are chosen to become family pets, we never compromise quality in our breeding program. Be sure to visit our Awards page to view our champion stock.
Our donkeys are precious to us, and we hand raise each one as though he or she will be someone's future pet or show donkey. Donkeys must be taught to lead and stand quietly while they are young. They must be handled often in order to build a relationship and bond. Donkeys must also begin routine care while very young, including de-worming and hoof trimming. Be sure to visit out Donkey Care page for more information about caring for your miniature donkey. We believe that well mannered donkeys will be a treasure to their owners, just as they are to us.
We continually strive to improve the miniature donkey breed by careful selection in the mating process. We look for strong genetic qualities such as balance, straight legs, even bite, strong topline, good muscling, gentle dispositions and round rumps and wide chests. Without compromising any of these qualities, we then consider color combinations and overall beauty. We offer sorrels, grays, browns, blacks and spotted.
